Cowart's Common Room
I Spy...

Jane and Adrian doing a double-hander on gift suggestions in the Telegraph today. Very nice - will cut out, red-pen and stick up chimney for Santa.

Re:
Preseli Mags's Avatar I also spy... Jane on p187 of January's Red magazine with a great tip on spritzing with tea tree oil to ward off the cold bug. Wish I'd known that before Rosie's party - I'd have spritzed the little s*ds and wouldn't still be sneezing a week later after three days in bed!

(off to check if the Telegraph article is online... Arrow)

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Brill! double tick gold star! Though on line we cut off at 10. Can endorse the Panasonic breadmaker as well.

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar Haven't read Weekend yet, but I have just perused the 10
The Panasonic bread maker is the only one I would consider, to replace its ancestor, which is becoming unreliable after goodness knows how many years.
The Poachers Handbook is also endorsed by me. Used it a lot in the days when G was feeding the household with gun and rod!

Re:
Elizabethm's Avatar Yep, clocked article and very keen on the Poacher's Handbook idea.
Adrian had two articles in the Weekend section I think. may be taking over (go A go, you improve it no end!).

Re:
Exmoorjane's Avatar Aw, thanks guys. Have to say not all our suggestions - quite a few came from the office (not sure we would have considered the 799 bike for example!)....but we can certainly lay claim to The Poacher's Handbook and the Panasonic (and, hey surprise! - the selection of beers)....

Yes, EM, the other feature was on the Boy Bishop at Hereford.....

Re:
Frances's Avatar Forget the breadmaker, I want the drums! Slippers sound good too, and remind me of some shoes I saw in a window of a shop in South Ken on my very first London visit mid-70's.
I am no Cinderella, but I do need a smaller slipper...does that company do such.

No matter, I buy nothing anyway, and should be shopping for others!

All the same ... wow, Jane and Adrian ... fantastic!
