Cowart's Common Room
Hello!

Just wanted to pop in and say hello! I've been so busy , I've not been a good Purple cooer of late and want to apologise for not getting involved with homework..........eeeeekk.
I know ......I'll put myself in the corner for detention!

Was up Newcastle way a few weeks back, went to the woonderful Angel of the North. Bit blurred but that's us in photo!

I was in Norwich last weekend we went to The Chocolate Show that my friend put on in St Andrew's hall. It was an interesting day, lots of excellent demonstrations by first class chocolatiers and lots of opportunities to sample chocolate. Not as many stall sthere selling chocolates as I would have expected but still mamanged to buy loads!
By Saturday evening i was quite queasy from all the chocolate and then had a huge Roast dinner with my parents. Think I've put on half a stone!

Well, my mum's scales said I'd put on half stone, I can't really believe them. Checked with my sister and her scales took ther hlaf stone off!
Who is telling the truth?? My sister's I hope!

Lots of love to you all . Especial welcome to our new class mates.

Re:
Milla's Avatar if it's any consolation, from here you look as if you weigh about 2 grams! teeny tiny!

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Yup 2 grams it is and lovely to hear from you. Well if one set of scales put the weight and the other took it off then you haven't gained anything . . .

Yum a Chocolate Show - now that is amazing - I think we should have a skool trip out to the next Chocolate Show . . . so when is the next show . . .

Re:
Oh love it. The whole site specific thing, Anthony Gormley's own body, saw the inaugral stages of the one that was at the waterside entrance of the dome, ('Son of man' was it?) when I went with eldest to AG's studio. do hope you also got to see the Blinking Eye bridge and the Sage Slug.
And Muddie, you should've let me know you were coming north, I could've met you in Newcastle Sad

Re:
Inthemud's Avatar Yes, @tm, I should have told you I was coming. But it was a fleeting visit so my Stan could visit all his old haunts around Newcastle & Ponteland, then went up to Hadrians Wall and back down to Harrogate.

Yes I do look teeny weeny in that photo, that's good!!!

Re:
Angel's Avatar Hi Muddie

Good to hear from you.

I used to love Harrogate-haven't been for years. There was a lovely 'Bettys' tea room if I remember correctly.
Last time I went to Northumberland I passed the 'Angel'-didn't have time to stop but I found it amazing-couldn't take my eyes off it which is not good when you are driving!

Re the homesowrk-I should not worry-everyone here understands.
I am so behind with homework I will never catch up so have given in! So busy with kids, plays and eldest has Mock GCSE's for next 2 weeks!

Take care
Bye for now
