Cowart's Common Room
Walking in a Winter Wonderland

... when it snows, ain't it thrillin', tho' your nose gets a chillin'...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

In the meadow we can build a snowman...

Jack Frost nippin' at your nose... etc etc, make up your own Christmas song from bits of all the others...

I am as excited as a small child - thick, squeaky snow everywhere. I'm going to get the Christmas CDs out today and listen to the old Crooners, Barrt Manilow, Neil Diamond, Elvis - all the best kitch for Christmas in this house! We'll put The Tree up this weekend, earlier than usual but there's so much on the following weekends there doesn't seem to be another time to do it.

When I took the hens their daily winter breakfast of bread scraps and Oatibix with warm water (only the best for my gels, you know) they didn't know what to do. As far as I know they're still sulking inside their house, sitting on their eggs. The dog just races around in a very loopy fashion biting at the snow and barking with pure joy at the excitement!

Sorry I've been a bit quiet recently - I'm not shunning you all, just busy busy busy, that time of year etc. Two people not managed to get to work this morning because of the snow so off I go to sell wellies and coats...

Here's my semi-dark garden this morning - beautiful.

Re:
Pondside's Avatar No snow here and I'm a very happy Pondside! I don't mind a little white stuff for atmosphere, and if it arrives on Dec 24th, all the better, but I've lived in the frozen north long enough to be grateful for rain that doesn't need to be shovelled.
Enjoy your winter wonderland, because it is pretty!
