Cowart's Common Room
I CAN'T SLEEP CHAT POST

Out to work this morning, then this afternoon cooked a Pot Roast Chicken for dinner and made an Apple Crumble, trying to use some of the fruit from our old Bramley, enough apples for a whole army I should think.

Lit the woodburner this evening, sat down to watch Stephen Fry in America, and before you knew it I was out like a light, so missed it all. Stephen Fry has wrote a book from this TV series.

Have a lovely Sunday.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Good evening Camilla,

I hope that you have by now closed your eyes, but ... if not, may I say that I would so love to have tasted that apple crumble. Lucky you to have some apple trees.

Tonight's picture is one to set the imagination free!

Sort of a crazy day at the shop. Not many customers, and lots of end of the month administrative bits to take care of. I am tired now, but wonder what actually got accomplished.

That's why that apple crumble just sounds so delicious.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Camilla, I bet that you are a fine cook, but modest!

These days, with the economy careening, and lots of the giant stores opening at 5 am (is that owl or lark) and offering giant signs with giant offers of big %'s off, it is so hard to know which day is a busy day. I think that our company is trying to retain our customers' perception of us a great style, classic and perhaps investment clothing and great value.

Who knows what the future will grant.

My crystal ball tells me that ... you are getting sleeping, you eyes are getting heavy, you are relaxing ... you would like the lights to be lowered.

Nite, nite, xo

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Frances - I would say that 5am is a Twilight Bird, we were called Twilighter's when we nursed on the ward many years ago at that hour.(Began at 5am).

It is worrying for businesses with all this credit crunch and financial crisis, a tiny vintage dress shop has just opened in our village where once it was an Antique shop, dresses in window look very expensive and we have never had a dress shop in this village for a very long time, it will be interesting to know if that new shop named THE GREEN ROOM will be successful.
