Cowart's Common Room

Afternoon all, hope you are staying warm and nicely wrapped up against the cold spell we have at the moment.

We have about 5 inches of snow here in Norfolk.............. WHOOPIE.! more is forecasted apparantly today, although the sun has just come out, and Daisy Boo and I have just returned from a walk, I let her off the lead and she thought it was great fun running around in the snow.

Would have liked to have posted a pic of snow here with Daisy, have managed to charge camera with batteries, but I have no idea of how to download, will store them until son arrives later in the month.

Inthemud's Avatar Wow camilla! That's a lot of snow. Spoke to parents yesterday when snow started but was melting then.
We've had a smattering but nothing to speak of, just very cold! Just lit old fire in dining room, never used it ibefore as it was a gas fire which we had removed, fire went well but slight leaking of smoke in to next door room so need to line chimney. Log burner in next door room already has a liner.

Have a lovely time with the snow.

Next weekend is Choc Show at St Andrews hall Norwich, will be going there on the saturday. have you seen adverts locally??

Lampworkbeader's Avatar Woke up to a slight smattering which turned to sleet, then rain, now it's sunny but rather cold. (West Sussex - quite near Inthemud)

Withy Brook's Avatar 1 inch of snow when we woke thismorning and I am afraid I chickened out of going to Kirkwhelpington for early service. Not like me, but I think I am beginning to get a little sense in my old age Laughing

Camilla's Avatar Toady - oh no! hope you can claim on house insurance, we lost panes of glass last year with greenhouse because of the wind.

Muddie - I love the open fires, we have a bedroom in the cottage that has an open fire there but we have not used it since we have moved in, if we did a liner would have to be done. Was lovely to see the snow, more this coming weekend too I think.

Will try and get to Norwich for choc fair Muddie and will let you know, I have not seen any adverts here for it yet.

Faith - What a lovely picture of white Dove.

Blossom - Where did you seek that out, love it......Smile

Withy - very wise indeed I think, neighbour who usually goes to church decided not to go to church either because of bad weather conditions here.
