Cowart's Common Room

Woke up to snow this morning, whoopie.! love the snow. I lit some candles earlier on this evening, woodburner was lit all warm and cosy and watched the snow falling as I sat by the window. Last time it snowed in Novemeber in our village was I think in 1985 when I first came to live here. We had a huge 'house-warming party and as we gathered outside with many friends and family to string along with 'hokey'cokey', a heavy snowfall had arrived and an enormous snowman was built.

It has now become quite slushy so think it will freeze by morning, soo cold, definately tuck your vests in weather. Smile

Now off to take a take a tour of the site, and make a cuppa.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Hello Camilla, that picture with its old-fashioned snow scene reminds me of an Advent calendar. I have got my Advent calendar for this year ... around here, if you wait until late November, the selection available is not so wonderful.

Hoping your slushy snow won't turn into slippery ice. We once had a NYC winter that was cold, with many little snowfalls, that kept melting and re-freezing. Our sidewalks and the Park looked like a nouvelle cuisine creme brulee.

Freezing cold here all day with lots of wind. Got my errands done, and then staying inside making a delicious stew, and working on various knit and crochet projects, and talking with friends on the phone. (Glad to have had the day off.)

See you shortly. xo

Camilla's Avatar Hello Frances, thank you.

I better rush out to buy my Advent Calender, thank you for reminding me.

I am pleased I will not be venturing out in car early morning, although I love the snow, I do get a tad anxious when it gets slippery for driving.

Oh a day off for you Frances, wonderful! and stew, I cooked the same here today, enough left over for another meal too.

Wonder if there may be a gorgeous hat/scarf.gloves you are knitting to keep out that cold Frances?

I have so many things in my mind rushing about, parcels, letters, presents, cards, not enough time.!!!!!

Back in a jiffy Frances, just going to put some more logs on fire and make a last cuppa.

Frances's Avatar Camilla, I am foolish enough to think that I can actually also find time to make Christmas gifts. I am a manic knitter and crocheter right now.

Bon soir Jacko and famille!

It is so late over there in Norfolk, Camilla, please don't stay up so late!
