Cowart's Common Room
can you believe it?

"A woman is divorcing her husband after she caught him cheating on her in a 3D virtual world."
This is for real and isn't in America. I have just found it on one of the headlines on my Yahoo page and thought I would share. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20081113/tuk-woman-divorces-over-virtual-lover-45dbed5.html
I'm not a gamer just a fan of chatting to/with other like minded, & usually, ladies. Heaven help them both with their next partners.Rolling Eyes

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar I guess maybe it is the intent. If he is already unfaithful in his head and on line - how long before he is unfaithful in the real world. Is an affair just the physical act? There are many ways to have an affair. Be interesting to see what happens in the court case.

Re:
Faith's Avatar Yes I've seen themShocked

Hub3 was intrigued and logged on to this Second Life thing.... but got bored straight away.

I tell you if I was on it and so was he, and his 'character' was unfaithful then I suppose I'd be pretty unhappy about it tooRolling Eyes

Re:
Pondside's Avatar I read this in our local paper on the weekend. Apparently this couple met on Second Life - I guess that's why the wife is so upset at the husband's virtual cheating.

Re:
Ivy's Avatar I read this a couple of days ago in our newspaper ( funny how long it took yahoo to put it on!) At first I thought the world was going even more bonkersthan it is already, but then I tried to feel what the lady in question felt and , like WW said, it was that he was unfaithful in his mind.Maybe this showed her how little she could trust him, and that their marriage really was losing out and that at the next "real" opportunity he would go for it. Unfaithfulness is not only a question of body but also of mind, -I think.
