Cowart's Common Room

Oops, fell asleep on the sofaRolling Eyes...... sorry folks.

I popped to Norwich this afternoon to do some shopping mainly for children's birthday present's, shops were packed. Was thankful to get back home after all the crowds.

The picture I have posted is very summery, as I opened the gate to the cottage this morning there in full bloom were three Pink Ophelia Roses in flower, surprising since it is Winter, although weather has been quite mild of late.

Hope you all had a lovely Tuesday, just off to take a tour of the site.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Hello Camilla,

It was very cold and windy in NY today, and we might just see frost overnight. That might just crimp the petals on the roses that I still see blooming in front of my neighbor's brownstone house. Well ... it is November! I still remember going up to Scotland in November and loving the sight of roses in Edinburgh.

Glad to hear that shops were busy in Norwich. I was off today, and tried to get my artistic hat on, but tomorrow it is back to the shop, making preparations for our big seasonal sale that will begin tomorrow. I am tired now just thinking about what needs to be done.

Abruptly changing subjects, going global, can you believe that pirates are still operating on the open seas? The current story is really just the latest of many others than we do not always hear much about.

Camilla's Avatar Hello Frances,

Hope that you are keeping lovely and warm in apartment, we are to have snow apparantly by the weekend, a cold front is forecasted.

I hope one day that you will be able to visit Scotland again to see those Roses in bloom.

I do hope the sale goes well at the shop, fingers crossed it does.

You had your artistic hat on Frances, did you paint some lovely pictures today?

More bad news indeed, the British Ship narrowly being hijacked by pirates was laden with 2 million barrels of Saudi crude oil and worth over 60 million.

Think the cost of Insurance for this will soar because of hijacking becoming higher in the world.

Frances's Avatar Exactly right, Camilla, about the insurance. Insurance companies just hope that the impossible stays impossible. Years ago, I worked at a law firm that represented Lloyds in the States. So...I know a bit.

Sorry, my artistic hat was to keep the wind away as Ivisited some galleries; I did not sit down to do any creating of my own. That's all right, the idea is to keep the engine alive.

Once again, I realize how late it is for you. Please do go to sleep.

I will sign off. Big day ahead. I hope to see you here again tomorrow night.

Camilla's Avatar Thank you Frances,

I think men arriving early this morning might need hats, they are to climb a platform to put up new roof tiles to replace others to our cottage, let's hope it's not windy.

Night Night Frances, lovely visiting Museums, I have not been for ages.

See you tomorrow Frances, sweet dreams.
