Cowart's Common Room
Aga Simple

Our Aga cooker is older than me - installed in 1964 that makes it, hang on, never was any good at maths, 44. It had its six-monthly service today and is still going strong. Apart from the price of oil being astronomical and our bills going through the roof, I have really learnt to respect the Aga. My parents always taught me to respect my elders. But wouldn't it be fabulous if we could all have a six-monthly service Blink okay, stop that cackling at the back - and be right as rain, youthful and full o'beans, ready to go with a hop, skip and a jump.

Just a thought Smile

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar The Kirkheaton second hand AGA was put in here about the same as your new one was put into your house, CJ. It was originally coke-fired and converted to oil soon after arriving here. It too was serviced today - what a coincidence! And it is 7 months since the last time. I don't know how old it is but yours is 34 years younger than I am!
