Cowart's Common Room
Bereavement Advice

Without wishing to tread on anyone's toes here, I just wanted to flag up a very wise and helpful post I've just read on dealing with grief.
It's written by blogger, Zinnia Cyclamen and you can read it here.

Pondside's Avatar Thanks for sending me over there Chris. That was a very good post. Grief is one of the issues I deal with in my role on the Critical Incident Stress team at work - I was sent for some new training two weeks ago and now am the one in the organization who does the death noticifications. Grief is universal - we all mourn in different ways, but grief doesn't have borders.

ChrisH's Avatar I'm so glad that you both found it helpful. If you scroll through some of Zinnia's previous posts you will see that she's had lots of experience of dealing with grief both through her work and on a personal level and her observations are sensitive and beautifully written.

Westerwitch's Avatar Thank you for putting this up - maybe put it up in the Forum as well so that we keep it longer.
