Cowart's Common Room

I had a lovely day with the Grandchildren yesterday, beach was a tad cold, but all wrapped up snug and warm against the easterly breeze. Fish and chips on the Quay too and my boots full of sand.

No photo's I'm afraid, new digital camera is not working, but hope to get fixed soon.

We have a new member, welcome aboard PatP from me in Norfolk, great gang of friends here, you'll just love it.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, now I am off to pop kettle on.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Good evening Camilla,

Even without the camera, you've been able to give us a good picture of your day at the beach. Fish and chips...cannot tell you how long it's been since I had the real thing. Yummy!

Great to have our new member, and hope she will check out our owl perch.

Demanding day at the shop. There is so much to catch up with, and just never seems to be enough time. I can almost feel the benefit of my time off falling from my shoulders.

Tomorrow will be another doozy. Early start to greet folks from all over the company who will re-merchandise our shop for the December collection. Once that is done, there are many other things to take care of ... and of course, wouldn't want to forget about taking care of the customers.

I am very glad to say that lots of customers did come shopping yesterday and today. Fingers crossed that they continue.

Camilla's Avatar Good Evening Frances,

Thank you.

Yes I do hope PatP will be joining us on this famous perch, lovely to have a new member.

Time does go so quickly Frances, vacations are so wonderful to look forward to, and you can go at your own leisurly pace, then work soon comes round again.

New collection in store on Monday I am hoping that they 'fly' off the rails with lots of customers buying, do you have many that return, faithful customers.

I now they will be well looked after in your capable hands Frances.

TIGGYWINKLE's Avatar Hi Camilla and Frances,
Have just managed to post a photo on a forum, but still can't get my avatar to move. Still trying to teach myself so much

Posted by: TIGGYWINKLE on 17th Nov 2008 at 01:46AM

Frances's Avatar Hello Tiggy, I left you an admiring message. I have no avatar, not much other tech advancement. Know that if I could but find the time for yet that other interest, I could manage it. (First New York career was as a computer programmer, back in the olden days.)

Really, now I have so many interests, I just wish for more time. Almost feel angry devoting time to requirements that are not within my true interests.

Ah, that mini rant was a release.

TIGGYWINKLE's Avatar I feel the same Frances. Have such a heavy schedule with running the business, looking after my husband who is ill, and a brother who is ill. I have so many interest and hobbies, and now I'm into all this, which is really gulping time. I need to be here most of the time, and PC is so good for a pop in, and wonderful to be relating with people with common interests. Did not have a good day to-day. Mr. T has not been well for the past few days. Need to get the doc here in the morning, and I hope it's not hospital again. Glad that business is good for you and hope it keeps up.

Camilla's Avatar Tiggy - I have tried many times to post a pic in the forums, have still not mastered it, even though other cooer's have been so helpful in exlaining to me. Well done.!!

Frances - I think one of your paintings would be lovely or maybe a pic of you in NYC, icing on the cake.!

Good to have a rant now and then Frances.Smile

TIGGYWINKLE's Avatar Camilla, I have given a step by step account of how I did it in the Support Forum. Glad I did, as I'm sure I have forgotten by now. This was uploading a photo from my computer. Didn't try to do a picture from a computer yet, but will have a bash at that soon.

Camilla's Avatar So sorry to hear your husband is ill Tiggy and so too your brother. Please let us know how all goes for Mr T, keeping my fingers crossed that he will not need to go into hospital.

Please take comfort in knowing we are here for you, a busy time for you Tiggy with business, but we are thankful that you can pop in here to keep us company whenever you have the time.

Camilla's Avatar Thank you Tiggy, I will pop over to the Forums later and take a peep.

Frances's Avatar Camilla and Tiggy,

Don't you love this site. We really do get each other. What really is going on in our lives. I so appreciate being able to reach across an ocean, sometimes the Atlantic, but also the Pacific, and connect.

Tiggy, hoping that your husband will be well. Just keep thinking of that lovely photo of the trick and treat.

Tuesday will be a day off for me (hope that will be true) and I will get some oranges and cloves and start on some pomanders.

Do you all put up Advent calendars? I always do. It might be a little jejeune, but I do love to see my way through December with those little windows.

TIGGYWINKLE's Avatar They are both long term illnesses, so you just roll with the punches. My husband got a virus out of the blue 5 years ago, and it attacked his heart. He almost died, but he developed complications, and now has the side effects of medication. Its a bit dramatic and scary at times, never a dull moment, but one learns to cope. Updated my Picasa to Picasa3, and the file of your pictures floated into it. Do you use Picasa?

TIGGYWINKLE's Avatar Little Muffin has been sick, so I have had to postpone her party. But did manage to put away my Summer clothes, and get my Winter Wardrobe sorted. Terrible job, but great satisfaction. I use an advent calander, and an advent candle. Can't believe Christmas is so near. You still have Thanksgiving coming up Frances. Had my helper in to-day to help clear up the garden, as I haven't had time to get out there. I need to plant up some planters for Christmas.

Frances's Avatar Oh you folks on the other side of the pond, it is so late there.

Wimp that I am, I will now be wishing you sweet dreams and leaving you so that I can do a bit more prep for the morning that is to come.

See you tomorrow, I do hope! xo

TIGGYWINKLE's Avatar I think I need to hit the sack, as I have an early start at 7, and have to read my few chapters. Thanks for the support. nighty night

Camilla's Avatar I have Advent Calanders too, I cannot believe it will soon be festive period, only seems like yesterday that we had last one.

Best wishes for Little Muffin Tiggy, hope she will be feeling better soon. I am sure she will look forward to party when she is over her bug.

Night Night All, sleep well, and see you tomorrow.
