Cowart's Common Room

The weather was absolutely lovely on Saturday and very mild, I had a fun day with our Grandchildren, they were brimming with energy and did not get to their beds until quite late.

Off to the coast later today to a little seaside town of Wells-Next-The-Sea which has a glorious sandy beach and dotted along with different coloured beach-huts. We spent many a happy hour there years ago when our children were small.

Have a lovely Sunday.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Hello to you Camilla,

Just now I did have trouble with the server ... and just wondered if I could click my way across the ocean.

Your grandchildren must adore spending time with you!

Any chance of taking some photos at the beach on Sunday?

My return to the shop was a bit of a blur. It's funny because although business is down, we still did have lots of customers, and it was tricky for me to play catching-up-manager role, while still staying in the present tense of keeping up with This Saturday.

We even had one of our sales floor registers (which is really a computer wearing a sales floor register hat) crash late this afternoon. Blue screen with those scary white letters and all. Thank goodness I did reach our help desk and that they did help us.

Vacation is definitley over now!

Camilla's Avatar Hello Frances, and to Woolyworks,

Hoping that the server will keep you connected.

Yep, Grandchildren know how to get round me, spoil them rotten but they are a joy to be with.

I will try and see if I can take photo's Frances, I am not the best of Bailey's, and only tried to take one yesterday evening and discovered that it was not working, noew one too, I think it needs a new battery.

I hope those customers continue to come through the doors, it will be interesting to know with the lead up to Christmas.

Glad to know the shop computer sorted itself out eventually, they were not around in my early sales day, just a cash register that went Ting.!

Will you be having Christmas Day and Boxing Day free from shop Frances?

Frances's Avatar Camilla, just one quick reply before I urge you to recharge your batteries before that day at the beach!

Christmas Day is one of the few days that we close the shop. Others are New Year's Day, Easter, Fourth of July Thanksgiving. Might be another but my memory fails me.
Boxing Day is not really much recognized over here. So, our doors will be open ... and we hope that we won't see lots of returned merchandise.

Now, please do close those tired eyes. See you tomorrow.

Camilla's Avatar Hi LL, thank you.

It is a lovely spot, we might be taking a holiday there in few weeks time even though it is not far from us, about 50 minutes.
