Cowart's Common Room
Not National Geographic Photos

Rather than clog up the Common Room, I thought I'd make a page to show a selection of images from the Nature's Best Photography awards.

The images depicted on the web page were previously (and wrongly) credited to National Geographic (the heading has now been changed). In truth, they are a selection of winning images from several of the NATURE’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY WINDLAND SMITH RICE INTERNATIONAL AWARDS competitions, which are conducted by Nature’s Best Photography magazine, a publication of Nature’s Best Publishing LLC, an independent company, unrelated to National Geographic in any way.

You can see more at the Nature's Best Photography website.

Faith's Avatar Wow Unbelievable!

Let's vote for our faves. I think 005 is amazing but like 012 the best.... I think!

Re:
Patsy's Avatar Utterly stunning! I think the aurora borealis ( 011)and the zebras (023)are my favourites but they are all amazing.
Thank you so much Jacko for bringing this to our attention!

Re:
Jackofall's Avatar I'm with Patsy on the zebras - looks like a cave painting with attitude.

Re:
Arosebyanyothername's Avatar Beautiful. I've always wanted to see the aurora borealis but even on a visit to Iceland I didn't manage it. My favourites are 06,
and 29.
Is 05 from 'Battle at Kreuga' do you know? this was a filmed true story of a tug of war between a lion and a crocodile - a baby bison being the rope.

Re:
Arosebyanyothername's Avatar I spelled Kruger wrongly and they were buffalo not bison but the story is on a video clip on YouTube

Very exciting - but not to detract from Jacko's pictures

Re:
Mootia's Avatar Loved the zebra, the seals and the fox (what on earth was it doing? Well, I know, but it looked completely stuck!).
