Cowart's Common Room
Friday Night Knitting Club Have you commented yet?

Confused I got into a bit of a panic and thought no one wanted to comment on the Purple Coo Autumn Read, but I've just found the 'Official Comment on Friday Knight...etc' on forums. So if you haven't yet had time to comment, that's the place to go. It's not been very popular so far, so all you readers who enjoyed the book, now's the time to make your opinions known.
Love lampie (aka Purple Book prefect.)

P.s. Any suggestions for our Purple Book Group Winter read, let me know.

Milla's Avatar I'm reading The Outcast by Sadie Jones for both of my 2 groups - loving it so far, a joy.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Nothing to do with anything except books - I've just read 'The Eustace Diamonds' by Anthony Trollope, which is a fast moving, what is going to happen next and who is going to end up with who with some diamonds thrown in for good measure. Wonderful characteristation. And a sort of second Becky Sharp as heroine. If I weren't such a slow and lackadaisical reader I would join your bookclub, Lampie.

Re:
Milla's Avatar LOVE Trollope, Fennie. One day, when I am old and grey, etc, will read the Eustace Diamonds again - what a title. How much more interesting than Facebook! Why aren't The Young reading this rather than upping their poxy profiles. I despair.

Re:
Exmoorjane's Avatar Trollope is on my retirement list....yes I have one.
My niece has a ten books a week reading habit yet also maintains a lively Facebook profile, so I guess you can do both.

Re:
Ivy's Avatar I left my comment. am reading the biography of Christina von Braun's grandmother . you don't know who she was? well Christina von Braun in the nice of Wernher von Braun the nuclear scientist who was going to built Hitler's Wunderwaffe (miraculous weapon) that was supposed to win Germany the war and fortunately failed to come to action. The Americans didn't want him in their POW camps so they set up a laboratory in California for him... that's the interesting part of the story but not new. CvB 's maternal grandmother however well boring and highly strung are probably the words one would use...
