Cowart's Common Room

An extremely windy day and as I type I can hear the heavy rain lashing against the window panes.

I went to church for Remembrance Sunday, it was packed with worshipers in mark of respect for those men and women who were killed in the wars, must admit I was glad I took my hankie.

Lit the woodburner late afternoon, it is so cosy with fire alight, so cosy that I fell asleep in front of it and missed the episode of Little Dorrit a Charles Dickens novel adapted for TV.

Just going to take a tour of the site, I am hoping that Frances may be along shortly to keep us company on this perch.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Hello Camilla,
I have had a little bit of trouble getting logged on or is it in tonight.

I can indeed imagine the emotions, and the thoughts that were in your church this morning.

This morning, over here instead of going to church I went back to work. I arrived two hours early so I could get a bit clued in to what might have been happening since I was away.

I am glad to report that the shop looked beautiful, and that no disasters (that I could discover!) had occured in my absence. That is good, since in just a few hours from now, I will be waking up and closing up the yet-to-be-packed suitcase, and heading out to the train that will take me to yet another round of managers meetings. I will next see you on Wednesday night/Thursday am to you.

So wish that I did not have to attend these meetings, but strangely also feel that I want to ask a lot of question about how the company plans to handle the current finance crisis.

Hope you are still awake....

Camilla's Avatar Hello Frances,

Pleased that you have now got connected to the site.

Good to know that all was well with the shop and that no disasters, this of course makes it more less to worry about.

Oh I shall not see you until Wednesday............... sob, shall miss you not being here but will look forward to hearing how all went with those very important Manager's Meetings, there will no doubt be questions raised about the financial crisis for the good of the shop and retail.
