Cowart's Common Room
West Country Meet

Determined not to let that Welsh lot have it all their own way EJ and I have arranged a meet for Friday 14th November, 11:30 in South Molton. There's a cafe called The New Place where I am assured that good coffee and compulsory cake is available. It is situated in the middle of the Square at the opposite end to the chemist on the island in the middle.

All West Country Coos welcome.

Toady

Re:
I really want to come too - but cannot. I am in the Cotswolds that day racing at Chetenham. It's countryside day at their Open Meeting and I cannot miss it. It is the meeting for the Thoroughbred Breeders Association of which I am a regional rep so I am actually working.

Shame - can I clone myself for the day?

I know that coffe shop, and must say that is has the best coffee for totally miles and miles round here. It is about an hour from us but we still go there.

Great tiny gift shop just next door which is stuffed with wonderful things.

Wink

Re:
Exmoorjane's Avatar Darn it. Cruci, we'll just have to have another one (oh dear...what a shame!) Have a great day at the racing.
Eeek, I'm not really a cake person (shush my lips!) but as I recall they do a mean brownie....plus several others. We will report.

Re:

Posted by: Toady on 7th Nov 2008 at 08:40AM

Re:
Exmoorjane's Avatar Noooo, not that far QC.....but tricky to get to, I agree. But Exeter would be a great idea for another one.....or if we did Bath could haul in Milla and LBD as well. This could grow.....

Re:

Re:
Woozle1967's Avatar No Bodran it's NOT!Rolling Eyes But knowing you and that scooter.... tee hee.!!

Seriously though, would normally make the trip (love driving) but dark nights and all that....... Bath would be fab (Bristol - aaargh - one way system from hell and all that traffic). Will be coming down your way next year to visit friends so would love to do a meet up Devon/Cornwall borders (they live in Delabole) then. BTW - LBD and yours truly are trying to organise a meet up to go to the Westonbirt Chritmas lights 28 Nov-21 Dec. xx

Re:
Milla's Avatar oh Devon, you're not STILL not driving! you can do it, honest.
Bath sounds doable. Westonbirt might be possible, too. South Molton am considering but think it is just too far! Have a great time.

Re:
Exmoorjane's Avatar Nooooo......what happened to the test? Devon, how far are you from South Molton? If it's do-able I could pick you up!

Re:
Toady's Avatar Or you could come in on the bus with me, Devon.
