Cowart's Common Room

A lovely day, lots of birthday cards and some gifts made out to post off later tomorrow. I caught up with some letter writing also so I can tick them off my list of to do things now.

Guy Fawkes Day tomorrow, lots of families with their children will be watching the displays of brightly coloured fireworks zoom up into the sky, or maybe hold a hand-held sparkler. A time too when I know it is very distressing for all the animals, Daisy Boo for one included so lots of extra cuddles for her I think.

Let us not forget if we are having a Bonfire that it is inspected before lighting just in case of wildlife or sweetie little Mr and Mrs Hedgehog are nesting there.

Now off to make a cuppa..........

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Good evening Camilla,

It is election day evening here and I am only partially here in the land of purple coo. Mainly, I admit to being focused on my television set, and also getting minute to minute updates on a news web site. This is a very exciting election that will make history.

Earlier today, after voting of course, I had a lovely catch up talky lunch with my old friend whom I have known for about 30 years. Seems impossible that we have known each for so long, but think that it is true. She is also a great fan of dogs and cats, has recently been widowed, and also lost her mom, but still has lovely adult daughters with their own families.

Anyhow, it was grand to see her and we did our best to get caught up. I walked back home through the Park, and took some photos, hoping to post some of them here ... eventually.

Now, Happy Guy Fawkes Day to all, and I must say nite, nite, so I may return to "election night central." Please do not think me rude. I confess to being a bit of a news junkie.

Camilla's Avatar Good Evening Frances,

Yes, I have been scouring the news pages on the internet for the election. It looks as though Obhama will be the winner, and the election will definately make history.

Lovely for you to meet up with your friend today, so sorry to hear that your friend has recently lost her husband and also lost her Mother, my good wishes to your friend.

Look forward to seeing the pics Frances, and you could never be rude, just one lovely gal.

Have just heard on the news radio that some british people have travelled to America especially to see the election who say will be history, they are in Times Square.
