Cowart's Common Room

We had another lovely day here, more celebrating and I feel quite exhausted.!Smile Son and his partner here for one more day before they return back to London on Tuesday.

Have just remembered it is Guy Fawkes Day on Wednesday, eek..... Daisy loathes the fireworks, much hiding under the tables.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Hello Camilla, and thank you for your messages!

The pink in the above photos is quite soft and beautiful.

Glad that your weekend celebrations will continue for another day. Got quite cold here today, and yes, I did do more watercolor work before venturing outside this afternoon.

It was odd to see the annual site around this neighborhood of the folks who'd run the marathon, walking, or sometimes almost limping, around here wrapped up in supposedly warming crackly mylar wraps. Some of the runners looked much more worse for wear than others. I always want to just cheer them all on and offer congratulations ... if they will make eye contact!

Camilla's Avatar Hello Frances,

Thank you. Oh wonderful that you were able to enjoy some more painting with those water-colours.

I am hoping that you are cosy and warm though with radiators in that fab room in your apartment. Much rain here yesterday, and my brolly blew inside out.!

I take my hat off to those marathon runners all worthy of course, and I am sure they would look your way Frances, probably just so exhausted, well done to them.

I am just going to make one last cuppa before I turn the lamps out Frances, back in a jiffy.

Frances's Avatar Enjoy that cuppa, Camilla. And then, you had better start on your way to the land of nod.

Maybe you will have lots of sunshine tomorrow, and lots of opportunity to tend to your garden, and try to find a way to soothe Daisy B past the fireworks. I take it that she is feeling better after her own marathon last weeK?

Camilla's Avatar Nothing like a nice cuppa Frances. I have been lucky enough to keep up with the gardens, soon the grass will not grow as much so will be putting the lawn mower away until early springtime. There are some more pruning of Roses that needs to be attended to.

Daisy is much better thank you Frances, although I think I will take her along to vet next week just to have a check up. She enjoyed her little walks today, although I did make sure that she did not over-do it. Sleeping like a baby at the moment in warm throw and her favourite cushions.Smile

Have a lovely day tomorrow Frances hope the sun shines for you, and see you tomorrow. Night night, and sweet dreams to you.
