Cowart's Common Room
Curtain Call

My lovely Mother was admitted to hospital last weekend and I have run through the gamut of emotions since. Quite lost the heart for checking in here, and see that I have missed alot! I had wanted to raise my glass to you all and esp. WW for creating this wonderful place. I may only recently have found a voice but have been a follower for a long time and am so impressed by the level of respect and goodwill that is shown here.
And wisdom...and humour.
It has been a school vacation week also which has intensified the chaos, but we made it through and I am thrilled to say that my mum is doing better and may be sent home in the next week! I have a tremendous group of sisters who have been spending time with her and I have just booked my flight to go back for a quick visit. A sure sign that she is on the mend: - she has been wondering how I am getting on with her kitchen curtains!
I made a rash promise to make her some, a while ago, and ofcourse hadnt started, so guess what I will be doing for the next week, along with laundry, bill paying, kid scheduling, food prepping, just so they wont notice I'm gone Wink

Faith's Avatar So sorry you mother is ill, but glad she is now on the mend. My own mother is none too good either, but also getting better. How many sisters do you have? I have 3.

Take care, and I'm sure WW will be pleased to see your heartfelt post.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Hello bluebird,
You are sweet to leave this message, what with all that has been going on in your life this week.
It's good to hear that your mom is feeling better and back to thinking about kitchen curtains. Hearing her ask about them must have been a very good sign!
Cheers!
