the sun has come out, the temperature has risen and the swallows have returned.

l know that the photo is not exactly sunflowers in the Langedoc, but extra virgin cold pressed rape seed oil is rather nice!

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Lovely colour and we have our daffodils actually started to break out into bud - plus it is milder here now.

Pipany's Avatar Huh, rain, rain, rain.... still, maybe it will come our way Very Happy

(PS WW - daffys? On to rhododendrons, tulips and forget-me-nots here...no, not smug - honest!) xx

Re:
Exmoorjane's Avatar Ah tulips, yes. Those that looked smart and pert in the pictures last autumn look gaudy in the flesh. The rather stunning looking fringed jobs look tarty in a rather shocking bubblegum pink. I never get tulips right. Though some soft pink ones look fab with swathes of forget-me-nots that nearly got pulled up as weeds earlier on. Bluebells appearing too but the rhodies are clenched tight shut.

Re:
The rapeseed is such a such a sunny yellow. We have blue skies and sunshine but a cool wind. Saw the first housemartin yesterday, sadly no swallows sighted yet.

Re:
Muddyboots's Avatar miss p, l do know my sunflowers from my oil seed rape, and after seeing such wonderful photos of sallyschateau's sunflowers last year, all l can offer is this showy member of the brassica family that is flowery all over europe at the moment!
