Cowart's Common Room
One Week Today

Good grief and berlimey and wow . . .

It is one week today that we all left the other side, floated around in virtual space a bit and then ended back together on CCW.

So one week today on Sunday 20th April we shall be having a BIG party.

We will need food and drink and Marquees (sigh) and music and Coopol and bRandy Slammers . . . . the Coopol and bRandy Slammer cupboard has trebled in size and I have also given the key to Blossom and Exmoorjane . . . .but only I have the right key Twisted Evil

Toady is brewing up something very special in her still.

We will need squaddies and firemen and probably more firemen . . . and a wonderful Pondisde breakfast and cleaners to clean anything left standing.

So get your thinking caps on decide what your job for the party is going to be and report to me.

Re:
Pondside's Avatar Never touch turnip calvados since an unfortunate undergraduate party in Uzbekistan. Just the memory..............
I'm going through all my cookbooks, planning the best breafkast ever!!! SBS is contributing the squirrel (she insists!) but I don't really know much about making squirrel sausage - madly flipping though the oldtime cookbooks. I can send a cleaner or two - but really, the last time they complained about some (ahem) "people of the male persuasion" in the closets as they tried to clean up. Apparently they were in 'fancy dress' and it was quite shocking to the ladies....so..........could you please all make sure that you check the closets before you leave the party, and ensure that any squa- er-r-r-r guests that you've brought and back in uniform and on their way?
Thenk yew.

Re:
Tattie Weasle's Avatar Do you think the lawns need a bit of a tidy up - would normally leave this to Mousie buts she's awol at the mo - I've nearly got the hang of the lean mean green cutting machine a little on the wobbly side re straight lines but if you're into whorls and whirls.....

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Sorry Pondside - not sure it will be any different this time . . .Shocked

Er . . yes fine Toady . . .

Tattie it would just be nice to actually see the lawn . . . all I ask is that if you get creative you keep it . .er . .clean. The lawn mower is all yours. Sigh . . . miss Mousie . . .

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar I could lay on a bit of air-sea rescue - they do all sorts beside sea or the air ambulance? Hope they won't be needed but it might be an insurance - yes?

Re:
Exmoorjane's Avatar Oh alright, you can borrow the firemen for the night (but I want them back sober enough for work the next day - and no, they can't bring their poles). Oh, OK, one between them.
Hmm, wrong key eh? Mad

Re:
Milla's Avatar If you need to get in a few practice lines first, TW, feel free to swing on by. And happy to test any wine that needs testing, for quality control purposes. Or, even, almost truthfully, medicinal purposes.

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Air sea rescue . . insurance . . .eeeek . . .rushes to check skool policy.

Oh come on EJ you don't honestly think that a) the firemen will be there the next day, or that b) you will be sober enough to notice . . . this is our ONE YEAR PARTY . . .HELLLOOOOOOOOO

Oooo no Milla - we need to have some left for the party . . . yes yes I know you need an anesthetic for your tooth - but not that much.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Well, I can put a label on everything, and make some syllabub, and supply wine (but then so can others) Maybe some walnuts as we shall be celebrating the Anniversary at the Mill. So you can borrow the Mill's tractor if you need it to transport the marquee. Do you need costumes from the theatre - swords, pistols, ballgowns, Serb and Bulgarian officers uniforms? (for the firemen!) Actually we have also got a fireman's uniform just in case a fireman is unlucky enough to lose his at the party.

Here's an idea - let's devise a punch - a special purple punch - that we can all make and then wherever we are we can all be drinking the same thing at the same time.

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Perfect Fennie - yes to everything you said . . .rushes off to continue argument with Marquee company and insurance company . . .ArrowArrowArrow
