Cowart's Common Room
I CAN'T SLEEP CHAT POST

Strange weather today, firstly sun came out this morning, later wind, then rain followed by giant hailstones, then sleety snow showers.

Thanks a lot dear hearts for your kind comments to my owl post last night. Black Dog was hidden from view today thankgoodness.

Whatever you are doing for the weekend, hope it's a good one.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Hello Camilla,
I am happy to hear that today was a better day for you.
For myself, it was wonderful to sleep in my own bed last night ...for nine hours. That is lots of sleep!
Today was a bit of a catch up day, laundry, groceries, library, and for a treat, a visit to my make-up guru at Bergdorfs to explore what difference a slight change in the shade of my creme blush might make for the spring light.
And...a replenishing of my favorite cologne, 24 Faubourg.
And now, I am so glad to be somewhat caught up with the goings on around here, and to have the chance to say hello to you.

Re:
Pondside's Avatar Welcome back Frances! Nine hours is a wonderful ration of sleep - lucky you! Will you have some time off this weekend?

Re:
Frances's Avatar Today was the day off ration, Camilla.
I will be back at the shop early tomorrow to get caught up (although I have already been checking the email trail for the week) and again on Sunday.
It's grand to see the Carl Larsson painting.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Hello Frances,

Thank you, yes much better today.

Nine hours sleep is what your body needed Frances, knew you were busy with extra work load a few days ago.
I too adore perfume, favourite is Miss Di'or, my supply of that is low, so opened a bottle today of gift given to me by son - Gucci, oh, it's scent I think is of Violets.!

I am half way through A. Bennett, quite amusing, goodness - wonder if HRH has read?

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Thank you Frances, I too love C.Larsson.

Most clothes shops are busy on Saturday's are'nt they Frances, it would be lovely for you to have two whole days on a weekend at home to just chill and enjoy your painting and books.

xx

Re:
Cait's Avatar I adore Larsson too, thanks for the pic. Glad you are feeling better Camilla.
Frances I meant to tell you how much I enjoyed the Bennett book. He is such a good writer.
I am awake and it is 3.13 am, no-one else around sadly. Work tomorrow so I must not linger long but this is a great place to come to when one has insomnia.

Re:
Love the Larsson also, saw a great exhibition in Stockholm last year and treated myself to a fantastic book of his paintings.

Re:
Milla's Avatar Camilla, will you see this, my favourite scent is Miss Dior too!! Spooky. Same name, same scent. Perhaps we are twins (you're the Nice Twin, obviously .... Twisted Evil)

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Milla - Have always loved the scent Di'or, Mother used Shocking Schiaparelli by Balenciaga, I remember when younger spritzing away with her perfume before I was older enough to have a bottle of scent.

Milla, you can be my twin sister any day honey, although I am a tad envious you are much younger than namesakeSmile
