Cowart's Common Room

I've just heard from my sister, Woolyworks, and young Dash is recovering. He's eating again and doing as well as can be expected. The problem was a bad case of coccidiosis (I wonder if I spelled that right.... Rolling Eyes ) She stayed home from the Christmas voyage and it was well worth it to save this little guy's life. Cool

Westerwitch's Avatar Ah was out walking this afternoon and found myself wondering about Dash so was delighted for Dash and Woolyworks to see this post. I hope Dash continues to recover and well done to Woolyworks for persevering. . .I do appreciate the difficulty when an animal is a 'stock' animal - I would want to save them all regardless of cost which I know is not always practical, or even the right thing to do.

Fennie's Avatar Yes, isn't it funny. Ever since the Dash post I haven't stopped thinking about alpacas and particularly this one. So glad he's on the mend. I thought coccidiosis was a disease of chickens but I'm perhaps thinking of something else.
