Cowart's Common Room
What a day!

Don't know what it is like where you are but here in North Wales it is just the most beautiful brilliant winter morning. I have taken an hour or so out to enjoy it (and done a quick blog about it with some don't do it justice pictures). Now I'm ready to throw myself into the fray of wrapping and shopping. However you do your time out - cup of tea, hour with a book, take the dog out, just hide - today I am going to play Mum and urge you to find your own hour if you can just to be.
Have a good day.

ChrisH's Avatar Excellent advice, Elizabeth... I was just having a quick surf before throwing myself into massive house cleaning exercise. And we're lucky with the weather here too so will have a quick look at your photos. Have a good Christmas CX

Fennie's Avatar Am afraid I have taken my hour already. Masses to do. Just about to depart for a massive Waitrose shop. Sadly (but warmerdly) no frost here this morning, the Channel making us less chilly than some places

Preseli Mags's Avatar It's a gorgeous day too here on the Preselis. I'm not sure if I can find a whole hour, but I hope to organise Granny into a spot of babysitting while I nip out with the dog and enjoy the sun.

Pondside's Avatar Still dark here, on the shortest day of the year. I'm going to steal my hour this afternoon and join the throng in the downtown - all doing their Christmas shopping. We have a beautiful downtown - not too big, but definitly a city. It will be dark by 4 and all the twinkling white lights in the trees lining the main streets will be lit, there will be horse drawn carriages full of tourists and groups of carolers will be walking through the shops. If that doesn't put a person in the mood, I don't know what will!

Wise words and good advise mum!

Well, my friend...I just about have an hour now until my pair of raggamuffins break up from school and will be home and no doubt full of it!!

So I shall make the most of the little peace and calm I have left...
Cup of tea and a couple of chocolate digestives I think...

Woolyworks's Avatar Excellent advice early in the day. Bright and sunny here for now, but stormy weather moving in and a white Christmas is forecast. I love to take that house during stormy weather!

Camilla's Avatar Terribly cold here in Norfolk, cold enough for snow, but woodburner is alight and is very cosy.

Finished work this afternoon, return on 28th Dec, so will give me a chance to catch up with everything hopefully.

Enjoy the rest of the day Elizabeth.
