Cowart's Common Room
The last 3 things!

Morning everyone!

This seems a good time to stop the 3 things game and as you know we are starting a new game in the New Year with an alphabetical 'Day in the Life of...' a Purplecoo member, starting with @themill, when she is ready.

The last three things is:

3 things I do just to please MYSELF at Christmas - which may be hard for you as we all rush round doing things for other people....

Mine are:

1. Playing carols in my car
2. Going to Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve - other family members may come with me, but I go solely cos I want to, and would happily go alone.
3. Buying (and eating) marzipan!!!! Particularly marzipan fruits - I love them, they look so pretty, though no doubt full of colouring and E numbers!

See you all at the Christmas party!

Over and out! .....

Re:
Crystal Jigsaw's Avatar Putting Amy's presents out in the lounge. We have to wait until she is zonked before we can do this because she is a light sleeper.

Peeling veg on Christmas eve.

Having a bath, washing hair and trying to talk the farmer into wearing something other than his dirty John Deere boiler suit at the dinner table.

Have a nice day.

Re:
Preseli Mags's Avatar Champagne in the morning and a brand new lovely book (cookery or gardening) and a quiet half an hour to enjoy both.

Smoked salmon for breakfast (MIL always buys us a side, which has just been delivered, yipee!)

Medjool dates. Totally yummy, but have to be hidden from the children or the dates just 'disappear'.

PS: So this is the last three things? Big thanks to Jane for introducing the idea and to Faith for continuing it. It's been fun!

Re:
A bit like Zoe I have bought all types of foodie bits in that I like but no-one else does! It is the only time of the year that I do it. I adore smoked salmon and prawns and Stilton and Brazil Nuts. So I shall gorge all to myself.

Drinking Baileys on ice early on Christmas morning when I am putting the turkey in!

Listening to Carols-Kings College on Christmas Eve and making mince pies...

ahhh...

Well done Faith and Jane

Milkmaid's Avatar I always wear a bit of tinsel on my overalls on Christmas day, not sure if the cows appreciate it
Light the fire at lunchtime, instead of after the kids come home for school, so it's well cosy by teatime
Drink sherry, actually I've been on the sherry since November

Thank goodness I'm well down the alphabet, but looking forward to everyone else's days in the life of
