Cowart's Common Room

What would Christmas be without the ever Dickens story, Oliver Twist. Yes we probably know it off by heart now, with main characters such as Oliver, Fagan, Sykes and Nancy.

This latest adaptation on BBC1, is as The Telegraph's Serena Davies points out, a more ballsy, earthy and modern version. Written by Sarah Phelps with years of scriptwriting for Eastenders under her belt, I think has done a fine job. Oooh, and it has the gorgeous Edward Fox starring in it.

Takes me back to when my daughter was about 11, she was chosen to take the part of Nancy in the school play. I remember spending many hours in London revising the lines over and over with her, and singing the famous ditty, you've gotta pick a pocket or two...

Christmas is coming, the Goose is getting fat.... Dont Panic.! I usually leave everything until the last minute, I refuse to get stressed this year, I am going to be very calm, no matter what, even though one of Grandson's presents I ordered on line has not arrived yet, but hopefully will arrive by Monday.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.
