Cowart's Common Room

Bitterly cold today, took Daisy for her walks and thankful it was not raining. I was well dressed for it though, coat, gloves, hat, cordrouys, boots. Ah, that north easterly wind can be quite biting.

Would be interesting to learn when all are doing their tree's, and how you will decorate them. We will probably be moving mid-January, so at least I can buy a tree, not a large one this year though.

Was using my hair-dryer this morning, when all of a sudden the whole thing nearly blew up, smoke coming out everywhere.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Camilla, I do hope that you are asleep. Yet, when you awake, please do let us know what happened with the volcanic hair drier?

You are still communicating, so I guess that the drier is about to meet its replacement.

Camilla's Avatar Thank you Frances,

I was trying to catch up with blogs, still a few more I will return to tomorrow, I love reading them, so many creative writers here, including yours from NY Frances.

Hair-Dryer was quickly sped outside, I'm sure flames would have been on the horizon. Quite odd as it is only five years old. Off to the hairdressers on Thursday, just hope that the dear lady who styles my hair does not get too scissor happy.!!

LittleBrownDog's Avatar I'm here. Can't sleep at all following annual Christmas argument with my mum. Happens every year, and it's always me that has to pick up the phone and make the peace. Doesn't make me feel any better, though...

Grouse's Avatar Sorry to hear about that, LBD. If you are putting off the horrid moment, why not send her some flowers? Then maybe she will be the one to pick up the phone? I used toargue with my Ma. Now I have cultivated an infuriating (and very patronising) 'Yes Ma, I'm sure you are right' approach. As soon as I engage the yes Ma technique she puts the phone down or changes the subject as she knows she wont get any further.
