More hogwash from Supermarkets

Now come on Mr King from Sainsburys, you don't really expect us to believe all that price fixing was for the farmers sake, a definite case of liar, liar, pants on fire

Re:
sickening isn't it , they wont even notice the £116M in fines, it's half what they made in profit on the illegal deal anyway!. As for helping farmers, OFT report shows that the farm prices didnt rise, despite Asda and Sainsbury fixing them high and King's defence of it, so who got the money?

Re:
KittyB's Avatar Oh, exactly what I thought as I listened to the radio news this morning. The farmers actually getting the extra 3p per pint of milke or 15p per half pound of butter or cheese - I don't think so.
How very dare they?
I note that we're always hearing about the gross profits of the supermarkets - but never how the farmers are just wallowing in cash! I wonder why...?

Re:
Mootia's Avatar At least they seem to have been caught red-handed - perhaps this will stop them in the future?? Rolling Eyes Waiting to hear whether the other two supermarkets get caught too - surely they were doing the same - B**GERS!

It's about time that British Farmers, and their animals, got properly paid for, and earnt the proper respect for, their produce.
