Cowart's Common Room
Good Morning from this side of the Pond

Uploaded Image
Good Morning! This is what we woke up to this morning. It's just past 9 and I took this photo a few minutes ago. We supposedly don't get snow here! I'm glad that we took delivery of a 4wheel drive vehicle on Thursday, otherwise we would not be getting down our road for a couple of days. It's beautiful and silent up here by the ponds. These chairs by the north pond look as though they're waiting for the garden party to begin!

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Serious and I mean SERIOUS snow envy from Scotland. Do you not normally get snow because you are too cold, or because you just don't get snow . . . .mooches off for a sulk . . .

Re:
Pondside's Avatar We don't normally get snow because it isn't cold enough. We have a hot dry winter and a very wet winter. After all, this is supposed to be the Pacific North West Rainforest! The Island is really just a huge outcropping of volcanic rock and all that water usually has a moderating effect. Lovely and silent out there though.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Wow! When I first saw snow at the age of 3 or 4 it fascinated me and I thought it the most beautiful thing in the world next to Royal Icing on a Christmas cake.

And being a stubborn creature I haven't changed my mind yet.

Global something or other I suppose.

Frances's Avatar Pondside, the photo is beautiful. I keep thinking of the summer dinner party photo from the same site. Your side of your pond is gorgeous in all seasons.
