Cowart's Common Room
Sunday Lark

Morning Larks,

Quite a humid day and keen breeze blowing hopefully the sun will pop through the clouds later.

Had a wonderful time at our Grandsons 19th birthday party yesterday which was a BBQ in daughters garden. 12 of us plus a 7 month old baby who did not cry once bless him. Lots of delicious foods and plenty of alcohol but I stuck to lemonade as I was driving. Other guests had ordered a taxi home leaving their car there to pick up this morning as huge driveways, some stayed overnight. We were lucky with the weather .

Must have indulged too much with food as felt the affects of it when trying to get off to sleep last night and indigestion and the old sinuses kicked in again. Son and his young family arriving around 6pm this evening staying for dinner and the night here and then tomorrow morning they are off to Glamping here in Norfolk until Thursday when they will return back to visit us until Sunday lunchtime

Enjoy the rest of Sunday dear friends Very Happy

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Sounds like you had a great time, Camilla. Not at all like mine yesterday (see post below for sequel). God of your grandson to turn up I would have thought. Young men of that age in my experience take a dim view of parents and grandparents and are away with their own age group indulging in activities best forgotten.

Hope you get a better night's sleep tonight. Maybe a couple of bottles of Guinness before bed. Don't work too hard.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Glad you had a nice party and time with the family.

In my experience young men of that age only take a dim view of spending time with parents and grandparents in front of their friends... in reality they get mightily miffed if left out of family gatherings.
My Nephews (23, 27 and 30) still like to have Christmas at Grannies if they can.
