Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks.

Much colder yesterday certainly colder than not to wear a light jacket at the moment. What a good summer we have had this year but I do think the year is going quite fast and not long before that certain month at the end of the year.Very Happy

I have been invited to join a book club here in Winterton not sure if it will be at a local residents house or here in the Village Hall, sounds inviting but not even getting round to finishing our very own Coo Read that Lampie so kindly does for us it begs a question .... How many books will I be able to get through but I so love reading just don't seem to have enough time lately with the demands of the day.Very Happy

Hope all owls and larks are well.

Just off for a tour of the site before lamps out soon. If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams

Fennie's Avatar Oh yes, go join, Camilla. At least it will get you out of the house and you will meet new friends. And put aside an hour every day for reading and let nothing disturb you. Very HappyVery Happy

Withy Brook's Avatar I think a book club that involves people in person, rather than just us (lovely) Cooers, is more important while you settle into your new environment.

Camilla's Avatar Morning Fennie, Withy and everyone,

Beautiful autumnal morning lots of lovely sunshine and a gentle breeze.

Did not sleep well last night so feeling a tad worse for wear this morning and even though the pollen count says it is medium my old hayfever is playing up. Need to take my antihistimine really but they always seem to make me zonked out.

Yes I really need to join the books club here as you say it will be good for me and it will get me out of the house from the demands of the day and many demands there are I can tell you.Very Happy

Fairy Nuff's Avatar It would be a great way to meet some of the locals with something in common. Even I would think about joining a book club in a new village and I don't normally read fiction!

Must be autumnal this morning I hesitated then decided a vest was in order after all.

Camilla's Avatar I have also been asked by Claire one of the lovely residents here who invited me over for a coffee morning recently if I would like to join the Winterton in Bloom where local residents can do a bit of voluntary work keeping the village green and the small communal garden up to scratch. Oh I'm not sure I said, well just bring your trowel and dig up the weeds all good for the garden she said.Very Happy

Yes really does feel like Autumn at the moment but I am wearing ivory loose fit cropped trousers and a fine white cotton shirt with a salmon pink cardi today.Very Happy

Fennie's Avatar Not the outfit for gardening then, but perhaps for the bookclub.

But yes, what fun - a shared enterprise, doing something useful for the village. Do give it a go, Camilla, you do like gardening and plants after all and something else to get you away from all those pressures in the house.Very HappyVery Happy
