Re:
Fennie's Avatar Ah - Darwin's study, I think. Camilla, I would invest in a modern laptop - they are inexpensive nowadays - with plenty of memory for your photos. You could keep your PC as well. I know you like a mouse - well you could get a wireless mouse for the laptop and use that rather than the touch pad. It would mean you could take it over to your daughter's. Worth looking at surely? Maybe look online at the various models. Very HappyVery Happy

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar You (or an available Son, Daughter or older Grandchild) should be able to update the browser online quite easily without having to buy a new computer (or pay for the update) Camilla.
It's just that the programme is out of date and would be better to be updated to keep your computer secure from internet bugs.

Do you use Internet Explorer and Windows on your computer?

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Yes it is Darwin's Study indeed Fennie. Yes a laptop sounds fine but you mention keep the PC as well. Obviously it is not the actual PC that is at fault re old browser but the actual tower itself under my desk with all the leads and etc going through it. Thanks Fennie lots to think about on next step. Can't afford at present anyway to many perhaps next January sales.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Thanks FN. I use Windows 7 or 8 I think it is and usually use IE or Chrome but Chrome says I can't access anymore as my browser is too old so even going onto FB is difficult now or pininterest.

Every time now when I try to do an update like in the past it says it can't do anymore updates as my browser is too old.... Sigh.... As you say though FN there must be some way round it without having to fork out extra cash.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Can you open Chrome at all Camilla?
If you can then you can update it...
To check if your browser is the most recent version follow these simple steps.
• On your computer, open Chrome.
• At the top right, tap the three dots and click More .
• Click Update Google Chrome. If you don't see this button, you're on the latest version.
• Click Relaunch.

If you can't open it at all you can download it here (using Internet Explorer) and follow the instructions to re install it.
Download Google Chrome.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar I've found an easier way if you can open chrome at all...
if you type

chrome://chrome/

into the search box it should take you straight to the update page.

If not you can download it here... https://www.google.com/chrome

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar It should still support all the versions of Windows from & onwards so shouldn't matter which one you are on.
