Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks.

Do hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend.

Phew. Busy day here today I have not stopped! Been out on the beach twice with Patch today for our lovely walks very hot weather but not so much a scorcher as it was yesterday. Lots of chores done laundry too and gardening, then decided to give the French Windows to garden a lick of fresh paint before the winter sets in. Still have not finished painting the garden furniture that will have to wait until another day. Lots of cooking in the evening too, slumped on the sofa and would you believe it HL wanted a cup of coffee, I told him where the kettle was.Very Happy

Much rain forecasted here for tomorrow and much cooler so too on Thursday. Hoping the sun is still shining in the Isle of Wight where Fennie is. Son is in Cornwall at the moment visiting his wife's family they have had very hot weather there recently and my grandchildren have been enjoying themselves on the beach.

Lamps out soon, if you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Morning All,

Gosh what a change in the weather, quite cold today and only 15 degrees has been raining during the night and at the moment we have a light shower of rain, all very dark and grey.

Much quieter around the village a few here still on holiday with rented cottages.

Just been out in the garden and see Tatiana the collared Dove feeding her two baby's who hatched two days ago, hungry mouths.Very Happy

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Gosh you have been busy Camilla. Very Happy
Not doing much here this week much of what I'd like to be doing is out because of the burnt finger (on my left hand and I'm left handed) so I can't get it wet nor can I bend it with the dressing on so I can't grip anything.
I've been catching up on computery stuff, having a clear out and tidy up of files etc.

Camilla's Avatar Hi FN.

Oh so sorry to hear about your burnt finger FN how painful that must be too, poor you. How did you burn it? I think you are a lefty like me aren't you FN? Burns are horrid I remember when I burnt my left upper forearm in the sixty's from the steam of the kettle that was boiling at the time I was too near the kettle and it had taken every seven layers of skin off took ages to heal. Hope you feel better soon FN, healing vibes coming over to you.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Hallo Camilla, Yes I am here and I was here but then I wasn't if you catch my drift. I even posted a comment but it hasn't appeared. The broadband here is intermittent. Maybe it has something to do with the weather: the IoW has been like the North Pole as well - and raining too - (I think it was too cold for snow!). We visited the Garlic Farm and had a cold lunch under a canopy out of doors (we had Elder Daughter's dogs with us. Late the Isle of Wight Glass Factory. At the Garlic farm I found some black pigeons whose photo I shall post later. Several business phone calls and emails but I think I managed them OK, but we shall be very busy as soon as we get home, no time to recover! Now we shall hope this posts.Very HappyVery Happy

PS - a special healing purple Aloe Vera poultice for FN's sore finger. May it get better soon.

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar Sorry about the finger, FN. it is so frustrating when either hand is out of action and obviously much more so when it is your major one. Hope it doesn't take too long to heal.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar It's doing well so far, at least a scald is a clean wound. It took the top layer of skin off so I just need to be careful not to knock it or graze it for a while.
I have a new (old, bought in the antique shop) Chinese ink stone I may give it a go today and do some Chinese brush painting, not done any in a while and it's not too messy.
