Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks,

Beautiful weather yesterday lots of folk around here on holiday and lots more cars everywhere especially the parking situation.

I'm in love with Agapanthus, anyone else have these in their gardens? Such a pretty flower I am told they are quite hardy and come in the shades of Blue and White.Very Happy

Lamps out soon, if you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Gosh you were late, Camilla. Just about to set off with the car loaded. You would think we are setting off to relieve Mafeking!

Always a time of stress going away and I worry that I have left lamps burning or the gas on, or that the water will leak. My neighbour has no such worries - she could leave her house for three weeks in less than an hour I imagine leaving the radio on to deter prowlers. I'd be scared of the radio bursting into flames. Hope everyone has a good week. I'll try to post as and when I can get a wifi signal.

Not sure what Agapanthus is Camilla, but I am sure that if you recommend it it will prove lovely.

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar Agapanthus if a lovely flower. Saw some beautiful white ones the other day. I ha be never had much luck with them. They used not to be really hardy up here but with the warmer, wetter winters we have had lately they might do better.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Withy I know you are an amazing Gardener but there is a website named thesundaygardener.co.uk he gives very good advice about the Agapanthus he also said that it they don't do well in the ground just put into a large pot instead or vica verca. Never knew they came in pink but I love the blue and white ones. My daughter has some in her garden.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar OK, so once I had looked up "Agapanthus" to remind myself what they looked like... yes I do like those. Laughing

Our Car groans when we go on holiday, there's only one suitcase of clothes but by the time we've added HO camera equipment, my camera bag, my art bag, the harp and HO's favourite two pans, knifes and silicone spoon and spatula, the poor car is wondering what happened.Laughing
Ho loves to cook on holiday but why do so many holiday homes think that set of big ol' metal barbecue utensils will do in the cottage kitchen? Rolling Eyes

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Hope you managed to find some kitchen utensils to cook with FN, perhaps you should have left a note in the owners diary of the cottage as owners sometimes do for likes and dislikes .Very Happy
