Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks,

Beautiful day today but not as hot as was first predicted, tonight it is extremely muggy so I have my trusty electric fan on at the moment to cool. I reckon I should go and live in an Igloo.Very Happy

Just enjoying a pot of tea before lamps out later.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Am feeling like a tired old piece of furniture, perhaps you should paint me with Cuprinol!

Same sort of weather here and this morning the sky is grey and it looks about to rain. With the labels out of the way for now I have a long list of everything else! Hey ho!

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Some spray tanned people look like they have been Cuprinoled Fennie, if only a good coat of that and some WD40 would work wonders. Laughing

Hot and muggy here last night too, fresher this morning and sunny with a glass calm Firth.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar I am one of these people, FN, who doesn't tan (must be the Scottish genes). When I was 18 I sat on a Spanish beach for 3 weeks amid a gaggle of beautifully tanned young mates and there I was the still white Britisher. So maybe Cuprinol is my only chance. Either that or walnuts. Very Happy

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Morning all,

Very warm and muggy still here in Norfolk but lots of dark clouds looming it is supposed to get colder as the day progresses I'm all for that I find it hard to stay cool.

Just realised it is August Bank Holiday this weekend where does the time go!

I am very careful not to lie in the sun too long nowadays as I burn easily having a Celtic skin. Not that I get that much time to lie in the sun these days. I do take ages to tan though amd have been known to use a good sun factor called Ambre Solaire light tanning lotion. I got burnt in the early sixties here in Norfolk while on holiday we went for a picnic on a deserted beach and I fell asleep in the sun I was like a lobster and it hurt, lots of calamine lotion applied to cool me down .Very Happy

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar I tan quite easily, despite my Celtic roots but don't particularly like sitting in the sun, I don't think I've ever actually sunbathed.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Think the reason I feel like a tired old piece of furniture is food poisoning. Yesterday I had some chicken that had been reheated twice and then just in the microwave. I think my insides are protesting. But it will pass, no doubt. Sad

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Tut tut! Fennie twice reheated chicken. Sad
Hope it er... passes without too much discomfort.

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar Hope you are soon recovered Fennie.
I hate sunbathing and have not done it for years. Exposed bits like face, arms and some of legs do brown if out and about enough, especially if we go walking when on holiday in Tenerife or such like.
