Cowart's Common Room
Lark Post

Morning Larks.

Apologies never made it to the owl post last night due to moi falling asleep on down pillows early.

Such rain we had yesterday almost a flood you could say great buckets of it and then driving back home late evening yesterday the cooling heater button to clear windows of the Jag I could not get to grips with and car windows kept misting up. Eventually after about twenty minutes I stopped the car in Coop car park and sorted it out and went on my journey home.

Weather forecast is dry for today, feel sorry for a couple who have three teenage children that came on holiday from Yorkshire to rent one of the cottages here weather has not been good for them and they are only here for a week. That's British weather for you.

Talking about teenagers the little fledgling teenager collared dove has still not left home and continues to stay near sitting mainly on the fence all day, his sibling left home weeks ago but this one prefers to stay at home.Very Happy

Have a good day everyone.

Fairy Nuff's Avatar Imagine having to demist car windows in August for pete's sake!
We had the heating on again last night, albeit with the radiators turned down a bit, but the house felt damp as well as cold. Rolling Eyes

Camilla's Avatar I know FN re wind screen, madness!

Wish I lived in your house FN, since we have moved into new cottage it is so well insulated everywhere floors and walls that I can hardly breath most days it is continually warm here even in winter. We moved in October here and it was stifling even with windows open and no heating. Not sure I will be able to continue living here because of it I have to keep electric fan going some days and through the night. The people who are rented one of the cottages here who came up from Yorkshire for a week was telling me that she found the cottage she was renting so very hot even with no heating on too and it was only 19 degrees outside with weather. We have underfloor heating but hardly use it as after you have switched off it still contains the heat for days.

Fennie's Avatar Yes it was very wet yesterday, unpleasantly so, weaving through south London. But today is bright and sunny. Back soon I hope.

Withy Brook's Avatar You could send some of your heat up here! Still in summer clothes, just! But only barely warm enough. Lovely in those rare moments when the sun shines!
