I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks,

Another fine day with the weather, birds are singing, but I so miss the sparrows.

Pyjam's on, just off to make a pot of tea.

Whatever your plans are for the weekend have a good one.Very Happy

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams

Re:
Fennie's Avatar That is the sort of wallpaper of which the dying Oscar Wilde might have said, "either that wallpaper goes, or I will." I am not dying, so far as I know, or at least not dying any faster than I was, but I still couldn't live with that wallpaper; but the house does appear to have a pleasant lawn outside the kitchen door on which perhaps you could sit huddled in an overcoat to drink your tea.

I can give you some of my sparrows, but you'd have to collect them. But if you just put food down the sparrows will come, unless there are sparrowhawks and skuas and other predators with fierce beaks, loitering in the skies above.

I will try as you say, dear Camilla, to have a good weekend and have indeed arranged a lunch with friends on Sunday at the Bush in St Hilary and may have to go this afternoon on a shopping trip to Monmouth, which will absolve me from fixing the kitchen lights at least.

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar More a Victorian boudoir than a kitchen, I think!

Re:
Camilla's Avatar It's a Flower Room.Very Happy I absolutely love it and it reminds me of my very dear late departed friends kitchen the one who I used to visit on the Riverbank in Norfolk. I miss her still terribly we were great friends can't believe it is nearly 2 years this April she went to be with her Angels.

Enjoy your lunch with friends tomorrow Fennie at the old Bush pub, perhaps you could play on the piano there if they have one.. Down at the old Bull and Bush.

Happy Shopping

Very Happy

Re:
Fennie's Avatar That is sad. Sad Sorry you lost your friend.

No piano at the Bush and if there was no one would thank me for playing it. Very Happy

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Apt for a flower room should one be lucky enough to have such a thing, bit busy for a kitchen though.
It reminds me of the wallpaper favoured by Winsome (the old lady that had my old house before us) only the flowers would be three times that size. Laughing

If there were a piano it would have to be an old tinny one to sound right playing those sort of songs in a pub. Very Happy

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Thanks Fennie, you would have liked my dear friend Angela she was such an interesting person and so knowledgable and she was always seeking to find out more especially on history and architecture.

Well they probably still play that song at one of the East End pubs still maybe.Very Happy

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Oh yes FN I remember you telling us on other posts about Miss Winsome, what a great name she has too.
