Fennie's Avatar Putting the Christmas tree on the wall is a new and clever thought. Yesterday was dry with us too. And yes Chriustmas is creeping up, though this year I seem to have everything pretty much in hand; we'll get the tree and the weekend and the little ones are coming over to help (or hinder) its decoration.Very Happy

Cadfael's Avatar That fireplace is to clean and tidyVery Happy. Thankfully i am an early planner so no last minute rush for me.I couldnt cope with last minute hiccups. I really dont want a tree this year. We have one growing in the garden wich we will put lights on. I hope that will suffice with the family. They have always talked me round i wonder if they will this year.

Fairy Nuff's Avatar It is very neat isn't it, mind you log burning stoves are quite clean generally, I love the fireplace though with the huge chunk of wood for a mantle.
No idea what we're doing for Christmas, although I suspect very little and by ourselves... just the way we like it.Laughing

Camilla's Avatar I suspect on the wall it must have some kind of attachment to hang that foliage perhaps it already has a hook where a picture hung .

Wood burner is not unsimilar to my daughter's although hers is much bigger, and the mantle over looks the same too.

Enjoy your day with grandchildren on Sunday Fennie you will all be very busy happy bee'sVery Happy

Cadfael what about bringing home some sprigs of Holly and put in tall vase and attach festive finds on to the branches.

Perhaps a nice glass of mulled wine too FN
Very Happy
