Cowart's Common Room
Let it Snow

Uploaded Image

Continuing with our theme of snow, though today has just been cold, without any precipitation, one of those sad, dark, biting afternoons that make you want to huddle by the fire and eat buttered toast. Instead we went to Sainsbury's where we bought a handmixer (electric) reduced, a hairdryer ditto and two cast iron pots to replace an old cast iron pot that had become badly chipped. I was left with a big bill. We did buy some other things too but I have forgotten what they were, but whatever they were we could have bought them today 12 pence cheaper in Asda (how do Sainsbury's know this?) so they gave me 12 pence back, which was decent of them. For the first time my till receipt was printed on both sides for which action to save trees I commend Sainsburys; but as they handed me five separate pieces of paper (one dealing with the Asda 12p) I felt that the trees were not getting a monumental deal here. The cashier appeared much put upon; but it didn't snow, or even hail. We must be thankful for small mercies. Very Happy
