Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks,

A little early owl tonight.Very Happy

On The One Show BBC1 yesterday evening presented by Frank Skinner and Alex Jones. Lang Lang the brilliant Chinese pianist perfomed a beautiful piece of music at the end of the show, just wish I knew what the name of the piece was, a very gentle piece of music.

Just enjoying a pot of tea, then lamps out soon. Leaving early to drive over to my daughter's and brisk walk with dogs along the beach. Boots, hat, scarf and gloves packed.... might get cold and muddy with dogs.Very Happy I know the exercise will do me good too.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams

Re:
Camilla's Avatar The Autumn beauty of Regents Park, in central London.

Ah, this takes me back.... a stones throw from where I lived when growing up there. Fond memories, lots of picnics, feeding the Ducks, sunbathing with friends and always with a good book to read. Happy days.Very Happy

Re:
Fennie's Avatar I am trying to remember where in Regent's Park this is. I don't recognise it. Still it looks very beautiful. In my Regent's Park days you could still park on the Outer and Inner circle for free. And in the early morning the Park would be quite abandoned, like being on a green desert island. Today I suppose it would be full of joggers. Joggers didn't exist then.
Happy times!Very HappyVery Happy

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Music was Tchaikovsky's 'June' part of his 'Season's' suite. Very beautiful and played most excellently.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Oh thanks Fennie for the title of the music.

Don't think the bridge in the pic was there when I visited the park all those years ago. I went back there in early 2011 with my family and while we were having picnic on the ground we saw lots of joggers then.Very Happy

I remember in 1970 when I pushed my huge Marmet Pram with newly born son in round the park I saw lots of Nanny's in uniform pushing prams there too.Very Happy
