Cowart's Common Room

Well if you are in London and at a loose end on 2 December between 6.30 and 8.30 then if you drop into the Slightly Foxed bookshop you can have a glass of wine and a mince pie. You could also order a copy of The Russian Chocolate Maker's Lover as a Christmas present, which might fox them, but only slightly. The Bookshop is in Gloucester Road, which has its own tube station unlike Gloucester Place where both I and Mary Ann Clarke lived once upon a time, although one and a half centuries apart. For all I know we might have lived in the same house though I doubt it as she talks about popping round the corner to Portman Place so she probably lived at the bottom or Westminster end of Gloucester Place whereas I lived at the top. But anyway this has nothing to do with Gloucester Road where the bookshop is. However the picture above is redolent of Christmas and I have just been for a walk along the banks of a stream such as this which, bar one solitary mallard drake, was quite devoid of life. Very Happy

Camilla's Avatar This a wonderful book shop and Fennie how wonderful that it has your novel on it's shelves too! I know the area quite well being an old Londoner.:-

Thanks for posting Fennie, poor Drake alone too.

Fairy Nuff's Avatar Perhaps we should all contact them and ask if they have it in stock Fennie, that may fox them slightly but may fire up their curiosity. Very Happy

Fennie's Avatar Cadfael, I think they would have to order it. Amazon have it or if you don't want to buy from Amazon you could go to Waterstones or on line from Completely Novel. Very HappyVery Happy
