Cowart's Common Room
Badger and Diesel

Uploaded Image

Badger and Diesel are two beautiful female collie dogs are looking for a new home following the separation of their owners.

They are two years old and are fantastically well trained. They come to heel, go on command for a romp, don't bark, are safe around children, other larger animals, dogs and clay pigeon shooting. In other words they are quite perfect. Diesel is the tummy revealing sweetheart; Badger is more reticent until she knows you properly. They have not been spayed.

The ideal situation for them is one where they can be regularly walked off the lead. Collies can run up to 100km a day, so not really suitable for ten minutes at the local park after work. I have had 2 collies myself for many years and a really good one hour walk is the minimum with some loo visit walks on top. Having said that it is quite wonderful to mark the seasons and will be fantastically good for you and yours as well as the dogs. Although having two dogs can seem to be double trouble, in my experience it is a great bonus. They have wonderful times together with lots of friendly rivalry. It takes a lot of the general demand off the owner that having a solo dog normally has.

I am attaching some photos so that you can see how beautiful they are and how bonded. Another pic in comments.

I am passing this on from a friend.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Oh Fennie, what sweethearts they are. I would love to have them both but my main worry would be Daisy, who is a Jack Russell Terrier female and 13 years this April, Daisy is loveable but she is quite territorial as we know most JRT'S are. Where is the location for the dogs, is it Wales?

Sad about the dogs owners who have separated, I think it is vital that these two loveable dogs should stay together it would be heartbreaking for each of them to go to separate homes.

Fennie's Avatar I don't know where the dogs are, Camilla. My friend who is seeking homes for them lives in London (Kingston).

Re:
Faith's Avatar Kingston's not far from me - not that I'd want them though they look lovely dogs. I don't want to comment further, but if they were mine I wouldnt let them go no matter what happened in my relationshipSad

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Just think how useful they'd be at rounding up the doves of a morning and keeping them in order. Laughing

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Ah yes, think Kingston is not far to Surrey. Fennie I would seriously think about having the doggies, I do feel for them so on who will be their next kind owners. I think it would be too much for my Daisy having more doggies in the house but I would love to have dogs otherwise. Please keep us up to date Fennie with Badger and Diesel.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Beautiful pair of Collies, I've had a think but all our doggie loving friends have dogs at the moment.
I hope they find a great home like our Dickens did.

Hi Fennie

It's months since I've popped my head around the door so it's odd that I think I know someone who may be able to help. I'll send her a text and get a contact for you.

Happy 2014 to all at the CooVery Happy
