Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls,

Oops, fell asleep on that comfy sofa, glad of the warmth of the woodburner tonight, seems to be much colder lately.

Books are delightful society, if you go into a room full of books - even without taking them from the shelves they seem to speak to you, to bid you welcome.

William Ewart Gladstone

Anyone begun reading our Winter Read yet? I am still awaiting mine at the library, hopefully enough time before our reviews later. I have just finished reading 'Catching The Tide' by the author Judith Lennox, a wonderful historical fiction, I love her style of writing and coming to the end of the book I feel I have lost a dear friend.

Hot chocolate tonight with some fudge, yummyVery Happy

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Re:
Blackbird's Avatar I've just ordered up the Winter Read from the library- I have been so bad at finishing on time or making comments. Here's another chanceVery Happy

Good luck with your hand- give it some rest. I've found with my Ipad that if I'm slouched in a chair and holding it with my left hand- it bothers my elbow and down my arm.. So I slouch a bit differently and rest it on my left knee. That works for a bit and then I have to get back to real life and move aroundVery Happy That works really well.

I like the scarf in the painting but her wrist will bother her if she continues to stand and read too long.Very Happy

Sweet dreams, owls and larks.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Gladstone was reputed to have read 20,000 books in his lifetime and to have personally felled with an axe a great number of trees. Those were his great joys in life. The fact that he was four times Prime Minister was incidental.
