Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello to the Owls,

Just realised I have a DVD Call the Midwife still in it's wrapper, will have to watch this eventually. Been having a declutter, made a bag up of unworn clothes for the Charity shop too.

A long phone call from a friend in London who I used to work with in the office there, we were talking about how we used to use the old Remington typewriters and how time has moved forward with technology since then, oh happy days.

Kettle is on for a cuppa before lamps out later.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Terribly sad tragedy about the Hawk Helipcopter crashing yesterday evening with the death of four crew. It was on a low flying training flight from the Suffolk Airbase of Mildenhall, crash happened on the North Norfolk coast in a Nature Reserve at Cley next the sea, only about 40 minutes from me. I have visited the Nature Reserve many times before.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Yes, sad about the helicopter. At least they crashed on land - or would the sea have been better? I wonder.

I remember those old manual typewriters. I learned to type on a very old manual French typewriter that had the letters in the wrong places. So I typed 'z' instead of 'a' when I reverted to a British one. It was easier to do accents though.
I still type with two fingers or three at the most but am much faster now.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar We seem to have had an awful lot of Helicopter crashes in the last couple of years.

My Dad typed with two fingers as well and never put anything down to the typing pool in the college, they were too slow and made too many mistakesRolling Eyes

We still have several DVDs to watch HO got two box sets and eight films for his christmas... my favourite so far is Brave (and not just because Bears feature in it)
Very Happy
