Cowart's Common Room
Alaska's not all wilderness and wildlife

Okay, Alaska is a pretty wild place, but somehow Patty also wangled me an invite to the Willow Garden Club Afternoon Tea Party, and very posh it was too. I was greeted with champagne, strawberries, fabulous nibbles and ther was even a fancy cake. Sadly to my English palate, the only thing not first class was the tea (shudder - just think thin, weak and with hot milk)

Faith's Avatar Oh dear about the tea Lampie - I must admit I am very fussy about my tea, has to be strong and not much milk. I spy a bird house in the corner there - was it inhabited?

Arosebyanyothername's Avatar We used to take a bumper pack of tea bags to France with us as they don't understand tea there either!
Looks like a grand party and I see that wine was taken so maybe the tea wasn't necessary.

Fairy Nuff's Avatar I wouldn't mind the weak tea as much as the hot milk... bleagh!
