Cowart's Common Room
Broad Beans

Today, I made a tiny picking of broad beans that were almost the size of peas. They were absolutely delicious. Normally I am mean, and won't pick them till they are a reasonable size. The result is that by the end of the crop they are too big. I have decided to forgo some of the frozen beans and to eat them small this year.
I realize that most of you will have about finished yours but we are always very late up here.

Faith's Avatar Well I am glad you enjoyed them Withy, but I don't like broad beans. Our runners have tiny little beans on them now.

Lily's Avatar I think everything's a bit late this year wherever we live after the reluctant to let go winter and spring. Here in the south we've just enjoyed the first of the beetroot. Runner and french beans still to come.
