Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Greetings Owls,

Do hope you all had a lovely weekend.

The hottest day this year so far yesterday, perfect too with a gentle breeze, spent some time gardening, more to do later today, then catch up with pickety fence painting.

Pot of coffee tonight with Callard & Bowser butterscotch, plenty for owls.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Re:
Blackbird's Avatar I haven't read Kate Morton but I'll have to look her up and yes to not wanting a book to end- one reason I like series.

It is so hot here- 90 degrees at 9 at night but with my trusty air conditioner- I will sleep soundly and comfortably tonight although with a bit of noise.Very Happy I have to admit that I spent much of the day in bed too with my ipad watching The Falls. Feeling a bit guilty but only a bit.

I am waiting for photos from the parade but my dear girl has made it home and was headed for a nap when I talked to her. More tomorrow.

The heat is annoying here but dangerous elsewhere in the west- I just read of 19 firefighters dying in Arizona fighting a forest fire. So tragic.

Sweet dreams.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar What beautiful wisteria, redolent of summer and spring freshness, hope in the air, fledglings on the ground, long white nights with candles flickering over lakes and ponds, streams and rivers, a slow sinking into the short darkness before the burning freshness of the morning sun, the wet green dew, the time of unicorns and magic.........

Beautiful music, Camilla, to listen to sitting in a boat and trailing ones fingers lazily through the water.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar It is the first book by Morton I have read BB, author lives in Brisbane.

Stay cool, weather here is just beginning for our summer albeit a little late in the year. Terribly sad to hear about those 19 firefighters in Arizona.

No need to feel guilty about a day in bed, sometimes we just need to chill and have a bit of me time.Very Happy

Look forward to seeing some pics maybe of the Parade.
