I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls,

Then there's the joy of getting your desk clean, and knowing that all your letters are answered, and you can see the wood on it again. ~Lady Bird Johnson

Just having a cuppa before lamps out soon, if there are any owls who are having trouble sleeping and their eyes are wide open, hop on the perch here for a natter.Very Happy

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Re:
Blackbird's Avatar Camilla, I must tell you that it cheers me immensely to see your lights on at the perch, treats laid out, your lovely pics and the summary of your day- even on the long or worst day, I check in even if I don't have time or energy to post. Thank youVery Happy

So, family gone home and things back to 'normal' around here. Weather is moist and mild, mornings and evenings are getting noticeably lighter and we are wondering if we are going to have any more winter- we'll see

My daughter has had a gym membership and hasn't managed to make going a regular part of her schedule and now wants me to join her for a trial month. Frankly, I'm appalledShocked Since she works evenings, she sleeps late and I'm up with the early birds. And, I've no interest in driving across town to join strangers in huffing and puffing. It would probably be good for me but I've always thought that exercise just be part of your day- walking, chores and some stretching and light calisthenics (sort of). Am I just 'out of it?'

With that thought, I'm off to book and bed,
Sweet dreams, owls and larks.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar And me! I have tried gyms and hate them. There are plenty of exercises that you can do at home and then there's walking, when you can exercise the mind as well. Nobody, unless they are an athlete, needs gyms. They are an expensive affliction perpetrated on the gullible.

Thanks you for posting, Camilla! Fxx

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Gyms and Aerobic classes even Zumba has no appeal what so ever.
Give me a good tromp or a proper dance class anyday.
Excercise has to be something you enjoy, it tickles me how many people we see out running looking thoroughly miserableVery Happy

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Thank you kindly BB and Fennie.Very Happy

I would be bored stiff going to a gym, son goes often and has a free pass with his business card. Lots of exercises one can do like walking, cycling. Moi going up and down the stairs with chores, gardening too.
