Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls,

I completely forgot it was Shrove Tuesday yesterday so no pancakes, never mind I shall make some later today. So.... who had pancakes?Very Happy

Very cold weather, we did have a few snow flakes yesterday evening.

I see the book I am reading Chocolate was shown on Film4 on TV yesterday, I never saw the film but trying to get through the book at the moment.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Re:
Blackbird's Avatar No pancakes here either- maybe some for a late celebration this weekend when Sam is home. And maybe something chocolaty too for a little Valentine's celebrationVery Happy yummm.....

They are saying that we may not get any snow this year and moderate temps heading into spring. The year goes by so quickly that I can do without snow for a season but I must put my mind to moving some rose bushes if it's not going to stay cold. Tick-tock.

I listened to our State of the Union address and managed to stay awake- only dozed off during the Republican rebuttal. And to think that it's 3 hours later on the east coast- a good thing that I'm not in the audience.

Tonight's quote puts me in the mind of more chocolateVery Happy
Sweet dreams, owls and larks.

Re:
Inthemud's Avatar We had pancakes, my daughter made them, best ever! Used Jamies suggestion of using self raising flour and add butter, yummy!

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Yes we had pancakes, sadly bought ones rather than our own homemade brand which are far tastier one you get the blue smoke out of the kitchen.

Re:
Arosebyanyothername's Avatar We had pancakes too - from Waitrose. First time I have ever used bought ones for pancake day but I was rather overloaded with chores as I have grandchildren staying. They rated them excellent - I wasn't so sure.

Re:
Faith's Avatar We had pancakes for dessert at supper, and I made them with my grandson at lunchtime too. He wasnt too sure about the pancakes but the fact you toss them, and put sugar on them was great with himLaughing
