Cowart's Common Room
Water water everywhere..

...but here!Shocked
When I was up in the middle of the night I noticed that the cistern wouldn't fill and when I got up this morning it still wouldn't (have flushed the loo with the contents of the waterbutt so it's now looks like a swap monster might appear from behind the U-bend!)
Called Scottish Water who said they were looking in to it but at the mo don't know what the problem is, advised them of our 'critical' situation - can't use B's dialysis machine without water - nice chap, Hamish, (very polite & called me madam!) rang back to say that he had been in touch with the local chap who is now aware of us and will update when more known. Meanwhile I have called the hosp in Glasgow and booked B in tomorrow just in case it isn't fixed today and my M&D to warn them I'm on my way to collect some buckets of water, they have their own spring and so not on the mains. Oh the joys of living in rural Scotland! LaughingRolling Eyes

Fairy Nuff's Avatar Oh dear! fingers crossed there's no trip to Glasgow in the end.
Can't really complain about Scottish Water as their cock up meant my lovely windfall of three years water rates backWink

Withy Brook's Avatar Water is the worst thing not to have, though I dare say for you electricity would be as bad because of the dialysis.

CalicoKate's Avatar Phew all back on now, v quick fortunately. The mains had gone at the hotel at the bottom of the hill. Glasgow trip cancelled thank goodness.
Rosie yes one is as bad as the other re dialysis, but I can cope better without electricity than I can without water.

Cowgirl's Avatar So glad it's all sorted CK. Worrying for you.

We use rainwater here, soft and so wonderful to drink - everyone loves the taste. It is my "drink of choice" most evenings... unless it has been a "red mist day" in which case a G&T is order of the day!

Blackbird's Avatar I'm glad that it all worked out for you two but you had it well in hand if it hadn't.
